Hannah Bolter, a St Hugh's pupil who left in 2004, is taking on the London Marathon on Sunday 26th April, in order to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
She is running the marathon in memory of her brother Tom, also a former pupil at St Hugh's, who sadly lost his life to Bowel cancer in 2023. Whilst Hannah admits she is not a long distance runner, she is taking the baton from Tom, who spent the last 3 years of his life fundraising for Macmillan, himself running the London Marathon in 2021 despite receiving treatment for Stage 4 Bowel cancer.
