After a rather wet week, we were delighted that the sun came out to welcome many of our St Hugh's community back to the school.
From some of our most newest alumni in the form of last year's Year 8, right through to former members of staff, we had a real mix of attendees who thoroughly enjoyed reminicising about their days at Carswell Manor and meeting staff who are still teaching at St Hugh's.

We welcomed back former Headmaster, Andrew Nott, and his family and also former Deputy Head, Roger Snow.

During the afternoon, we also held a special tree planting ceremony near the Temple to remember Mrs Jenny Allan (a former governor at the school) and Mrs Marle Snow (a former teacher and Roger's wife) who both sadly passed away recently. We were joined by their respective families who were touched by the gesture and were glad that their amazing service to the school would be remembered long into the future.

Our alumni families thoroughly enjoyed our St Hugh’s biscuits and wonderful scones made by our talented chef Ben, and guests took away some red tulip bulbs to plant and hopefully send us photos of in the Spring. They symbolised our intention to very much grow our Alumni community and this will be the first of many alumni events to come.
